THE ASK
Our team was challenged with creating a leading hub where endurance athletes could get expert advice, training guides, and event information.
THE APPROACH
Our client team worked closely with Old Mutual to understand exactly what was required.Then, our strat team simplified intricate data structures and presented a strategy that visualizes the models. Our UX team developed high fidelity wireframes to demonstrate how complex information can be simplified into easy-to-navigate user journeys. Our designers crafted a user-focused interface that challenged the safe mould of the existing brand CI, adopting mobile-first thinking and a responsive development approach to present beautiful visuals that captured the essence of the Old Mutual brand.
THE RESULTS
We built the FrontEnd on the latest Angular framework. The back-end was built on Flamelink, a proprietary CMS developed by Responsive to seamlessly integrate with Firebase, Google’s solution for developers. Responsive became an end-to-end digital solutions partner for Old Mutual’s World of Endurance by delivering a fast, secure, scalable platform - and all in time for the 2017 Comrades Marathon. The site was a finalist in the Bookmarks Awards in the category of Specialist Publisher Site.
